“Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: ‘What are you doing for others?”
— Dr. Martin Luther King Jr
Our Chicago Youth Programs volunteers are the pillar of our program model. They selflessly donate their time to our youth, helping them navigate academic challenges, being mentors, advocates and even sounding boards for them. Without their dedication, the impact of our programs would be greatly diminished.
We currently have over 600 volunteers that carry our work forward. They come from institutions, companies, and partner organizations across the city, including:
- buildOn
- Chicago Cares
- Friends of Washington Park
- Gap
- Junior League of Chicago
- Northwestern University
- Northwestern Memorial Hospital
- NU Law
- NU Med
- NU Physical Therapy
- People’s Gas
- University of Chicago
